Responsibilities- Increase our ability to evaluate general pediatric neurological problems: the demand of the the service has been steadily and sharply increasing.
- Perform out-patient pediatric neurology evaluations and which has a strong and growing demand.
- Knowledgeable about neurology medications
- Evaluate new general neurology patients
- See follow up patients from hospital in the clinic setting
- Take patients calls and discuss results with parents
- Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements
- Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards
- Regular and prompt attendance
- Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required
- Related duties as assigned
Additional InformationEmployees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in nursing from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama Required
- Completion of an approved nurse practitioner training program Required
- NPC - Certified Nurse Practitioner Certification as a nurse practitioner Required and
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner Licensure with the state of Alabama as a nurse practitioner Required and
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure Licensure with the state of Alabama as a registered nurse Required
- Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.
