Full Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Remote Network Lifecycle Engineer to support our telecommunications client. The role is responsible for migrating services from legacy, end-of-life network equipment to modern platforms, primarily focusing on TDM systems (WDM, SONET). This role involves identifying active services through databases, diagrams, and direct equipment queries, planning and executing migrations across various service layers (L1-L3, MPLS, SONET, T1), and ensuring accurate configuration across vendor platforms. Engineers will coordinate with field teams for physical changes, validate service integrity pre- and post-migration, and troubleshoot issues. Additional responsibilities include decommissioning legacy hardware, ensuring compliance with asset disposal and security protocols, and maintaining accurate documentation and reporting for project tracking and leadership updates.
