Insight Global is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Architect with deep expertise in multicore processor platforms, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and embedded software architecture to support our client's T-7A trainer program. This role focuses on evaluating and optimizing multicore embedded systems using software-only solutions-without modifying hardware. The architect will lead trade studies, define system architecture, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess performance and reliability.

Required Skills & Experience• Active Secret Clearance
• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of experience working hands-on in embedded multicore systems architecture
• Deep expertise in:
• Partitioned operating systems (e.g., Wind River HVP)
• AMP/BMP multiprocessing models
• Embedded Linux and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Safety-critical systems with high Design Assurance Levels
• Strong skills in:
• Profiling, simulation, and debugging tools for RTOS and containers
• Scripting and automation (Python, Bash)
• Architectural strategy for mixed-criticality systems
Nice to Have Skills & Experience• Master's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
