Job DescriptionGHD is currently seeking a
Remediation Systems Subject Matter Expert to join our Environmental Assessment and Remediation Group. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your technical expertise in designing innovative solutions that address the full spectrum of environmental media, including air, water, and soil restoration and management. As SME, you will support a wide range of remediation strategies, including groundwater collection and treatment, in-situ and ex-situ treatment methods, sediment remediation, capping and cover systems, mine waste management, and soil gas mitigation for both mining and oil & gas clients.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:- Lead, review and carry out work with other specialists, engineers, designers, and scientists, putting collaboration and engagement at the forefront
- Development of technically profound and cost-effective designs for a full spectrum of site conditions and regulatory environments across multiple jurisdictions and clients in the public, private, and federal sectors.
- Provide technical expertise in relevant site remediation technologies leveraging the depth and breadth of technical resources from across GHD
- Responsible for leading ongoing adoption and effective implementation of state-of-the-art environmental remediation technologies
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, Geoscience or related field
- PE or PG will be highly regarded
- 10+ years of experience in a wide variety of remediation scenarios and design approaches, including soil, waste, groundwater, and surface water
- Experienced in the full range of design processes, including defining suitable lab and pilot scale studies, development of full-scale design, construction specifications and tender documents, procurement, construction administration and recording
- Exceptional ability to operate in small and large team environments with strict alignment to project scope, schedule, and budget requirements
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification a plus
- Ability and willingness to travel client meetings is required

Salary Range: $154,00 - $206,000 based on experience and location.
