Full Job Description
Our central coast CA offices have an excellent opportunity for a Environmental Remediation System Engineer. This is a unique opportunity for a rising individual to join a large, well-established organization with a culture that promotes teamwork, integrity, and respect. You will work closely with our highly skilled multi-disciplinary teams throughout the organization and our clients to efficiently deliver projects and provide high value consultancy services. This position is on-site at client project in the central coast region of California. Our Hybrid Work Model: Be part of the dynamic culture! Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Technical Guidance and Project Oversight: Providing Operation, Maintenance and Monitoring expertise on a diverse environmental restoration project, with a focus on environmental remediation system including groundwater collection/extraction system wells and pumps, conveyance pumps and lines, and treatment system comprised of storage tanks, clarifiers, bag filters, organo-clay and carbon vessels
  • Field oversight of remedial contractors for routine system maintenance items including, carbon and organic clay change outs, and mechanical and electrical repairs
  • Environmental compliance monitoring of treatment system and sampling of groundwater consistent with approved plans
  • Responding to system alarms in person and occasionally remotely
  • Documentation of all work in field notes, forms and electronic records
  • Project Scope and Schedule Management: Assisting project managers in developing and managing project scopes, schedules, budgets, and quality plans. Your expertise will contribute to effective project planning and execution.
  • Client Relationship Management: Supporting project managers and actively participating in client relationship management, attending on-site client meetings as needed.
What you will bring to the team
  • Strong foundation, experience and proficiency in operation and maintenance of remediation treatment systems and environmental field work.
  • Experience with county and state regulatory agencies.
  • Proven professional judgement, including identifying, assessing, evaluating and solving problems.
  • Written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to concisely convey complex issues.
  • Strong teammate, with the ability to work independently when required, collaborative in open sharing of information and knowledge with team.
  • A self-starter with the ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, geology, environmental science or related field preferred.
  • 8+years of experience with solid technical knowledge and skills in operation, maintenance, and field tasks related to environmental remediation and restoration projects construction experience a plus.
