Full Job Description
  1. Daily Job Expectations:


  1. Backup the Team Manager in all tasks when they are unavailable. This includes, but is not limited to
    • Performing proper Double Checks. Prove the action is correct to yourself. Perform the calculation, read the instructions, verify the valve lineup, match the batch ticket to the material description, etc.
    • Run the weekly safety meeting
    • Conduct the daily pre-shift meeting
    • Interact with Maintenance at the morning meeting
  1. Complete Daily Shift Activity Report;
  2. Ensure compliance with daily production notes
  3. Assist in Operator training
    • This includes performing all tasks from material handling, filtering, drumming, and running reactors to show the trainee how to properly complete the tasks.
  1. Aide in the coordination of production tasks
    • Batch pre-staging
    • Charging
    • Processing
    • Batch adjusting
    • Filtration
    • Troubleshooting
  1. Review log books, batch sheets, process monitors, previous Day/shift notes and review alarm summaries and respond to all variables in alarm
  2. Evaluate the process and make necessary adjustment in order to maintain safe operation and correct problems areas and out of control points (first record data collection). Take ownership for correcting problems areas and out of control points
  3. Check equipment for unsafe/unusual conditions and correct or report findings to supervision
  4. Coordinate all shift activities
  5. Review data in computer at least two times per shift for potential problems and out of limits data:
  • Audit control room, drumming areas, loading on a regular basis
  1. Prepare equipment and permits for maintenance work
  2. Follow up when permits are turned in to check out equipment and assure housekeeping is satisfactory
  3. Ensure associates are working safely
  4. Identify equipment requiring maintenance and report to supervision and enter notification into SAP for required repairs
  5. Approve permits in absence of Team Manager
  6. Maintain clean work area:
  • Assign housekeeping task daily to shift employees
  • Actively participate in 5s housekeeping program
  1. Continuously focus on teamwork, communication, and doing the job right the first time
  2. Report all production losses greater than 6 hours and any expected late deliveries

  2. Communicate openly with shift supervisor and other team members
  3. Run reactors when needed
  4. Support company policies and programs
  5. Enter work notifications for Equipment repairs needed
  6. Active contributor and participant in team meetings
  7. Remove from service any equipment considered unsafe
  8. Stay current with process and procedure changes
  9. Participate in Green Belt projects
  10. Assist in training new operators & guide them through the OCP program
  11. Perform other duties as designated by supervision
  12. Follow all company policies and procedures
  13. Use all computer-based systems as required by job duties
  14. Troubleshoot process and analytical problems utilizing the trending, glide-slopes, pass process logs
  15. Know safety equipment location and use
  16. Write and update operating procedures
  17. Exercise teamwork in matters involving overtime
  18. Complete annual safety and refresher training on schedule.


Pay: $43.96 an hour
