Full Job Description
JOB SUMMARY

Assesses the compliance of both ERCOT and ERCOT Market Participants with Texas electric reliability laws, including the Texas Administrative Code, the Public Utility Regulatory Act (PURA), Texas Public Utility Commission (PUCT) Substantive Rules, ERCOT Protocols and Other Binding Documents, including analyzing data, conducting investigations and audits, drafting reports and providing testimony for the PUCT's Enforcement Division. Conducts and participates in reliability audits. Works closely with ERCOT Legal to provide technical expertise, collaborate on investigations, and ensure quality work is submitted to the PUCT. Works closely with ERCOT Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to obtain necessary data and information required to determine reliability performance.

ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES

Level 2 and 3
  • Builds and maintains data analysis reports and queries using such tools as SQL, Microsoft Excel, Python, and IBM Cognos
  • Identifies the performance measures and documentation requirements related to ERCOT regulatory standards requirements
  • Monitors and reports ERCOT and Market Participant performance and compliance with reliability-related ERCOT Protocols and Other Binding Documents requirements
  • Reviews ERCOT and Market Participant performance during System Events in accordance with PUCT and ERCOT requirements
  • Monitors Texas electric reliability law changes associated with reliability-related performance metrics, and updates assessment and monitoring procedures as appropriate.
  • Provides support to PUCT staff in reliability-related compliance and enforcement activities
  • Conducts audits to ensure ERCOT and ERCOT Market Participant are compliant with reliability-related requirements
  • Updates compliance tools, track effort and progress of audits and investigations, and manage library of audit documentation


EXPERIENCE
  • Level 2: Requires minimum 1 year job related work experience in excess of degree requirements
  • Level 3: Requires minimum 3 years job related work experience in excess of degree requirements


EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's Degree : Engineering or related field is required (Required)
  • or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge to a major in such fields is required


WORK LOCATION - Taylor, TX:
  • Employees will be required to be on-site in Taylor, TX at minimum 2 days per week, or more, as needed based on the business needs as determined by management
  • On-site schedules are flexible or may be rotated based on business needs as determined by the Manager
  • Remote work is required to be performed from your Texas residence.
  • Employees may opt to work on-site more than required or 100% of the time

$87,000 - $120,000
