Location:

OnTrac CLSC- 1260 Collings Dr., Lockbourne OH 43137

Compensation:

The base pay range for this position is $104,800 to $157,196 per year.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, geographic location, and other job-related factors.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday from 2:00pm to 10:00pm

(Hours subject to change depending on business needs)

Employment Logistics:

The Reliability & Maintenance Engineer analyzes and improves the reliability of equipment, components, and processes with a focus on reducing downtime and optimizing system uptime throughout the asset lifecycle. This role applies engineering methods, data analysis, and predictive approaches to prevent failures, improve robustness, and support long-term asset health. This role partners cross-functionally with design, operations, and quality teams to identify risks, analyze failures, and implement improvements that strengthen maintenance effectiveness and equipment performance.

The Must-Haves:
• Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in reliability and maintenance engineering for facilities, conveyor systems, automated material handling, or sortation equipment.

Your Mission in Motion:

A summary of the key responsibilities for this role is outlined below. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support business and operational needs.
Build reliability methods and measures: Develop the methods and metrics used for reliability analysis based on product specifications, tolerances, and operating standards.
Lead structured failure analysis: Apply FMEA, fault tree analysis, and root cause analysis to identify problems, quantify risk, and determine corrective actions.
Optimize preventive and predictive maintenance: Drive PM/PdM improvements for conveyors, sortation systems, facility equipment, and supporting infrastructure to reduce downtime and improve uptime.
Create risk-based mitigation plans: Develop failure mitigation strategies grounded in risk and asset criticality to prevent repeat issues and strengthen long-term reliability.
Improve designs, processes, and test standards: Propose new or revised designs, manufacturing processes, and testing specifications that apply best practices and increase reliability.
Own reliability and maintenance performance reporting: Develop, track, and report KPIs including downtime, PM completion, schedule compliance, asset performance, and maintenance backlog
