What role you will play on our team

Located just outside Corpus Christi, Texas, Gulf Coast Growth Ventures (GCGV) brings innovation to the Coastal Bend by strengthening U.S. manufacturing capabilities and producing the materials that enable high-performance products used every day. Our site is supported by approximately 400 employees across operations, maintenance, technical, administrative, and leadership functions, all working together to achieve world-class performance.

As a Reliability Engineer within the Operations organization, you will play a critical role in maximizing equipment reliability, availability, and cost effectiveness across the asset. You will apply reliability principles, systems, and analytical tools to identify vulnerabilities, improve equipment performance, and drive sustainable business results. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, collaborative problem-solving, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams, contractors, and site leadership to achieve long-term reliability objectives.

What you will do

  • Drive long-term equipment reliability, availability, and cost performance through the development and execution of annual maintenance strategies, reliability improvement plans, and turnaround/shutdown work scopes.
  • Lead efforts to identify, prioritize, and resolve equipment vulnerabilities that impact asset performance, ensuring solutions align with business objectives and reliability goals.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve equipment maintenance and reliability strategies to optimize lifecycle performance and reduce overall maintenance costs.
  • Serve as the reliability focal point for your assigned area, providing technical leadership and ensuring decisions support the asset's long-term reliability, safety, and cost objectives.
  • Analyze equipment performance data, maintenance history, and reliability metrics to identify trends, eliminate recurring issues, and improve operational effectiveness.
  • Contribute to maintenance budget development and stewardship by identifying cost optimization opportunities while maintaining equipment reliability and operational integrity.
  • Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving efforts, applying root cause analysis and reliability-centered methodologies to drive sustainable improvements.
  • Effectively communicate reliability risks, recommendations, and performance results to site leadership, operations teams, and contractor organizations.

  • Experience (3 or more years) in oil and gas / petrochemical industry or other relevant industry
