Function: Product Engineering (CA)
Title: Reliability Engineer - 120439
Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position

Your Responsibilities

As a Reliability Engineer at John Deere Construction and Forestry in Dubuque, IA, you will:

  • Support design solutions for product delivery initiatives by applying reliability methodologies and tools
  • Identify areas of opportunity in durability, evaluate enhancement strategies, and monitor ongoing progress
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and design personnel to drive improvements in reliability
  • Analyze and predict the reliability of Backhoe and Landscape Loaders by identifying potential failure modes
  • Optimize critical business metrics including machine failure rates, cost per unit, and overall durability performance
  • Conduct data analysis and leverage quantitative techniques to generate actionable business insights and decision-support models
  • Assess the impact of reliability on system life cycle costs
  • Support the development of product design standards, guideline documentation, DTWs, and engineering analysis standards

  • Demonstrated technical proficiency in at least one of the following areas: hydraulics, drivetrain, electrical, or product validation
  • Experience/exposure in design or product validation
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams

  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to collaborate with individuals of diverse cultures, interpersonal styles, capabilities, and backgrounds

  • Cross-functional experience related to PV&V, design, and/or manufacturing teams
  • Experience utilizing reliability data analysis techniques in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to innovate and implement new processes
  • Experience with analytic tools SQL, Python, R Shiny or Cloud data lake services

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
