JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Release Manager to oversee and coordinate all software releases, including deployments for autonomous delivery robots operating on public roads. This role ensures that releases are strategically planned, thoroughly tested, well-documented, and successfully deployed while collaborating across multiple technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and coordinate multiple concurrent software releases, including those for autonomous delivery robots.
• Plan, track, and communicate release schedules, milestones, and deployment activities.
• Collaborate with engineering teams across software, firmware, hardware, AI, DevOps, and operations to ensure seamless release execution.
• Oversee release readiness, testing, approvals, and deployment processes.
• Monitor release progress, identify risks, and resolve issues impacting delivery timelines.
• Maintain comprehensive release documentation and project tracking using Jira and Confluence.
• Partner with teams in California and Arizona to support release planning and execution.
• Ensure all releases meet quality, safety, and operational requirements, particularly for autonomous vehicle deployments.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in Release Management.
• Proven ability to manage releases involving software, firmware, and hardware.
• Background in industries such as autonomous vehicles, robotics, automotive technology, embedded systems, or other complex engineering environments.
• Strong knowledge of Git for version control and release tracking.
• Expertise in Jira and Confluence for project management and documentation.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in geographically distributed locations.
• Familiarity with safety and compliance standards for autonomous systems.
Certifications
• Relevant certifications in Release Management, Project Management, or Agile methodologies (preferred but not required).
