Position Summary:
The Regulatory Manager position at Gowan Company involves managing a portfolio of active ingredients and end-use products, coordinating global and regional regulatory activities, and ensuring alignment with business strategies. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and regulatory authorities to maintain high-quality submissions and regulatory compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage regulatory activities for the product portfolio's which includes but not limited to new and current AIs, new and current end use products, new and current uses, new sources and other standard regulatory actions in specific geographies.
• Responsible for the successful implementation of the product registration strategies to ensure that registrations align with strategic business plans and meet grower / end-user's needs.
• Work closely with Asset leads, Development, Marketing and many cross-functional teams to ensure the relevant product and regulatory expectations are met.
• Management of portfolio budget stewardship. Provide monthly updates to Regulatory Asset leads for forecasting purposes
• In collaboration with Regulatory country managers, to ensure submissions are of high quality; that content and format of regulatory submissions comply with applicable regulations and guidelines.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism, efficiency, and follow-through as the primary technical regulatory liaison for the assigned project.
• Communicate regulatory information across the company and help them interpret the commercial implications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Experience in a regulatory related role in plant protection industry (5+ years) and demonstrated ability to apply scientific knowledge to regulatory related solutions.
• Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Toxicology or related science field- preferred.
• Knowledge of regional/country registration requirements/policies/procedures is required.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully write and orally communicate technical issues.
• Successful experience managing the regulatory issues for active ingredients.
• Detail oriented with proven leadership skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Effective problem solving, deep understanding of regulatory science.
• Ability to work both independently or collaboratively as part of visionary & goal-oriented teams.
