Job Summary
The Regulatory Affairs Manager manages the staff and daily activities of Regulatory Affairs, provides training, support, and guidance as it pertains to the overall functions of the Department. Assists the Director of Regulatory Affairs in developing and implementing Department procedures; actively maintaining open and efficient lines of communication among the Regulatory Agencies, the Regulatory Liaison and other applicable members of Executive Management; and with the coordination, collection and review of confidential documentation.

Job Responsibilities:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage staff and ensure seamless coordination of all regulatory related activities.
  • Assist Director of Regulatory Affairs with various activities tied to maintaining relationships with applicable regulatory agencies.
  • Review and analyze relevant regulatory documentation, including, among other things, information requests or written correspondence and provide commentary, and/or input as necessary.
  • Attend regulatory meetings and assists Director of Regulatory Affairs with coordinating open lines of communication and effectively disbursing relevant information to applicable members of management.
  • Responsible for talent management functions including: employment, performance evaluations, staff development/training, disciplinary actions, succession planning and ensuring all staff comply with compliance requirements.
  • Uses independent judgement and discretion to make decisions.
  • Analyzes and resolves problems.

ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications:

  • Education level required: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent).
  • Minimum experience required: 7+ Years in a financial services company and/or in a bank regulatory or legal related role.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education level preferred: Master's Degree (or Postgraduate equivalent) in Finance, Business, Legal, or related.
  • Experience preferably from a Regulatory Agency, including OCC and FRB, with specific knowledge of Large Bank Supervision and Enhanced Prudential Standards.


Job Competencies:

  • Excellent knowledge of the fundamental concepts of bank regulations.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
