The Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, compassionate, evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care to patients with acute and chronic medical conditions, including patients receiving oncology-related care. The RN is responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, administering medications and treatments, evaluating patient outcomes, and coordinating care with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
The RN demonstrates clinical competence, professional accountability, effective communication, sound clinical judgment, and a commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and an exceptional patient and family experience.
Education- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required according to organizational policy.
Licensure- Current and unrestricted Registered Professional Nurse license in the state of practice required.
Certifications- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on unit standards.
