Position Summary Reporting to the Clinical Manager, Emergency Services, the successful applicant must meet the following criteria:
Mandatory Qualifications - Current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- 2 years of acute care experience within the last 5 years required
- Current B.C.L.S. Certificate
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation Certification (or will obtain within 6 months of employment)
Preferred Qualifications - Current PEARS Certificate
Mandatory Competencies - Excellent conflict resolution skills
- Excellent patient assessment skills, successful completion of the Patient Assessment course an asset
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, and time management skills
- Proven ability to organize workload in a fast paced constantly changing environment
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professionalism in nursing
- Able to perform venipuncture, 12/15 Lead ECG
- Meditech experience
- Demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and experience in patient education
- Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Must be able to function within your full scope of practice as an RPN
