DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This role oversees nursing care and supports staff in creating a calm and therapeutic environment for residents. As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:
  • Nursing Oversight: Supervise nursing staff and guide daily care activities for residents
  • Care Planning: Review care plans, documentation, and assessment information for accuracy
  • Team Coordination: Assign personnel, direct workflow, and support staff in meeting resident needs
  • Incident Response: Assess serious incidents and complete required reporting forms
  • Quality Monitoring: Evaluate health service trends and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Resident Observation: Observe resident conditions and ensure changes are communicated to appropriate staff

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment, 8 hours/day; 40 hour work week.
  • Work hours are 2nd shift (2PM - 10:30PM)
    • Rotating weekends and Holidays

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.
Special Requirements:
  • This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • If you possess an active temporary practice permit, you must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Other Requirements:
  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
