Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited RN Nursing program; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Active RN licensure by the Maryland Board of Nursing, free of infractions.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of continuous experience in a long-term care facility; 2 or more years preferred.
• Preferred IV insertion skills.
• 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical experience required for Baker Rehab assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care based on established standards and individualized care plans.
• Function as Charge Nurse and oversee nursing staff activities as assigned.
• Conduct resident/patient assessments upon admission according to unit standards.
• Ensure safety, comfort, and compliance through regular clinical rounds.
• Maintain and update resident/patient clinical records according to policies.
• Transcribe orders from physicians to relevant charts and records as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per regulations and protocols.
• Facilitate shift change reports through walking rounds.
