Job DescriptionInova Schar Cancer Institute's Alexandria and Woodbridge locations are looking for a dedicated RN Unit Supervisor to join the Infusion team. This role will be full-time day shift from Monday - Friday. This supervisor will work five 8-hour shifts.
Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance eligible.The Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor serves as a front line leader who is accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to quality and best practices to improve the clinical operations of the unit. Embraces, uses and understands the research behind nursing practice and quality tools. Supports unit based shared governance and decentralized decision making structures and processes. Acts as a role model who leads by example in delivering "Service Always" and in making patient experience a priority on units of responsibility. Minimum Qualifications:- Certification - Basic Life Support; Specialty certification (as required by unit) within 12 months of hire; Chemotherapy/biotherapy within 3 months of hire.
- Completion of a revised Charge Nurse workshop within 3 months of hire
- Licensure - Licensed Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Experience - 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Education - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or Associate's Degree RN within 1 year of completing their BSN)
Preferred Qualifications:- 2 years oncology experience preferred
- 2 years infusion experience highly preferred
