Pay between $44-$53/hour(based on experience and shift differential)

pediatric and young adult skilled nursing facility located in
Albany, NY. Founded in 1883, we provide specialized long-term care for medically fragile infants, children, and young adults on a single dedicated campus.

Requirements for a Registered Nurse (RN) -- Current and valid New York State RN License
- Current CPR Certification
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
What you'll do as a Registered Nurse (RN) -- Provide direct nursing care and treatment to individuals in assigned programs using appropriate clinical procedures and nursing practices.
- Assess and monitor health care needs, responding to changes in condition as needed.
- Evaluate individuals who become ill or injured, administer first aid, and coordinate appropriate follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, caregivers, and external providers to ensure coordinated care.
- Participate in required training, professional development, and staff meetings in accordance with agency policies.
- Monitor and maintain infection control and safety standards, following all organizational policies and procedures.
- Ensure nursing equipment is checked and functioning properly.
- Document all health-related information in nursing notes and medical records.
- Assist with staff occupational health responsibilities as needed.
- Communicate regularly with program staff, service providers, and administration regarding changes in medical status or care needs.
