In this role, you will deliver specialized nursing care to patients undergoing radiologic procedures, with a strong focus on
sedation, monitoring, and interdisciplinary collaboration. You will be part of a highly cohesive team that values input from every member and creates an environment where nurses actively contribute to clinical decision-making.
The RoleAs a Registered Nurse in Radiology, your day is dynamic and patient-focused, blending procedural care, imaging support, and continuous clinical assessment. You will work across CT and MRI environments, partnering closely with physicians and technologists to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality care delivery.
On an average day, you will:
- Prepare patients for procedures, including assessment, intake, and education
- Perform sedation administration and continuous intra-procedural monitoring
- Support a variety of image-guided procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, and drain placements
- Monitor patients undergoing advanced imaging, including cardiac MRI and pacemaker cases
- Assist with MRI sedation workflows and CT imaging needs, including port access and patient coordination
- Provide pre-procedure communication and post-procedure recovery monitoring
- Escort patients through different phases of care, ensuring safety and a seamless experience
- Collaborate closely with physicians, technologists, and fellow nurses in a fast-moving yet supportive environment
This role offers
variety and clinical depth, with no two days alike. While the pace is steady and manageable, the team is prepared to respond effectively to more acute situations when needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.
Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
The pay range for this role is $39.90 - $53.00 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
