The salary range for this position is CAD $41.42/Hr. - CAD $55.91/Hr.

Eligibility for the post-basic training education is prioritized to applicants with approximately two years recent acute medical/surgical experience upon perinatal program full-time start date. Preferences will be given to applicants with high-acuity training.
BCIT Perinatal Nursing Specialty Program
Online Theory (if required): Jan. 4, 2027 - Mar. 26, 2027Full-time training at BCIT & practicum locations: Apr. 5, 2027 - Jun. 25, 2027*course dates will be modified based on previous courses completed. VCH only funds for required courses.
Applicants must successfully complete the post-basic training education prior to working in the Department.
Candidates accepting this training opportunity agree to remain with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) as a regular status nurse in the area of nursing applicable to the education program for which they are hired for at least 18 months subsequent to completing training.
This will ensure that candidates are able to consolidate and apply skills in the specialty area that VCH has supported and funded candidates to complete. In the event that a candidate leaves the area of nursing applicable to the education program for which they were hired or VCH in under 18 months, VCH will seek to recover the cost of the program.

Come work as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Perinatal Services at Richmond Hospital in Richmond, BC with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!
Within the context of a client and family centred care model and in accordance with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) standards of professional practice and Code of Ethics for registered nurses, and the established vision and values of the organization, works in collaboration with other members of the health care team, to use appropriate clinical judgment to provide optimal perinatal care (Antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum) to women and babies and their families. This includes assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and appropriate documentation of care for assigned patients in the perinatal service. Is knowledgeable of and adheres to standards of professional nursing and patient care practice in accordance with Health Authority policies and procedures.
