Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN to join our team. Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign on & relocation bonuses.
Full time, Shift Varies (with call).
Work Schedule: Two 8-hour shifts (11am - 7pm) & Two 12-hour shifts (7am - 7pm) per week.
Inova Alexandria Hospital is a beautiful 318-bed community hospital located in the city of Alexandria. Our OR is equipped with 11 OR suites and 4 Endoscopy Suites. Comprehensive range of surgical specialties to include, orthopedics-total joints, sports medicine, spine, general ENT, gynecology, urology, plastics, vascular, neurosurgery, robotics, podiatry, and maxillofacial. Full range of Endoscopy services including Heartburn Treatment.

Operating Room Registered Nurse Responsibilities:
• Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple, sometimes conflicting, data sets and synthesizing their interrelationships.
• Formulates individualized plans of care based upon assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice.
• Supports and empowers patients and families as they progress through the healthcare continuum from health promotion to end of life decisions.
• Advocates for patients' rights from the patient/family perspective and provides counsel and acts as a resource to resolve issues.
• Anticipates ethical, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients/families and assists staff in assessing patients' learning needs.
Operating Room Registered Nurse Requirements:
• Experience: Requires a minimum of 1 year of direct Operating Room (OR) experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Education: BSN or ADN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate's Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• License: Must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
• Certification: Basic Life Support with American Heart Association.
Preferred Experience & Certification:
• Experience with the following cases: Trauma, Ortho, Neuro, Robotics
• Scrubbing experience
• AORN's Periop 101 curriculum completion and/or CNOR
