7am-3:30pm; Monday-Friday will be orientation schedule; variable start times

Future shift to be determined upon completion of orientation

based on needs of department;

FULL TIME; 80 hours a pay period;

Future rotating call upon successful completion of orientation

Must meet 30 minute call requirement

$38.20 - $57.30

What you will do

Are you looking for an environment that will challenge your knowledge and skills surrounding surgical nursing in the Operating Room?

You are the eyes, the ears, and the voice of the patient during one of the most vulnerable times of a person27s healthcare journey. The OR is highly interdependent, and team based. You will work closely with surgeons, residents, advanced practice clinicians, anesthesiologists, technologists and assistants to provide superior surgical outcomes. Your orientation and practice environment is rooted in the specialty standards and educational programs of the Association of Perioperative Nurses (AORN). Your extensive RN orientation includes full training in the circulator role.

Ability to work weekends, holidays, and different shifts in order to accommodate staffing

Work environment includes probability of exposure to adverse, hazardous, or unpleasant conditions while caring for the sick

Ability to assist in evacuation of patients in the event of a fire or other disaster

Routinely works with potentially infectious specimens and patients

Ability to respond to patients in a timely manner and access all areas of the unit

Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other team member, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

What we are looking for:

  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices, and
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providerscertification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • 1-2 years OR experience needed
