  • Support daily clinical operations and provider workflows
  • Participate in staff training and orientation
  • Document patient care and treatments in electronic medical records

Registered Nurse-Urology (RN)

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Hours/Days: 5/8.5 hour shifts, Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm
Organization: New York Health (NYH)

In This Role, You Will:
  • Key Responsibilities
    • Administer androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) and testosterone injections in accordance with provider orders and established protocols.
    • Perform bladder instillations and assist with percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS) treatments.
    • Perform suprapubic and Foley catheter changes and related catheter care.
    • Assist with office base procedures during the pre,intra, and post op phases.
    • Conduct pre-operative and post-operative patient phone calls, including education, instruction, and follow-up.
    • Manage provider inbox messages and complete timely patient call-backs and clinical triage.
    • Support provider workflows and assist with day-to-day clinical operations as needed.
    • Participate in on-site training and contribute to the orientation and training of staff.
    • Document all care, treatments, and patient communications accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record
We Require:
  • Valid New York State RN License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with an EMR (preferred)
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer, standing, bending and reaching
  • Knowledge of standard precautions and the ability to utilize appropriate PPE when administering cytotoxic agents and handling bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Reliable transportation to travel to NYCBS locations for patient care needs
