About The Campus: - AdventHealth Apopka is a seven-story, 158-bed hospital offering an extensive range of services including expanded surgical services, advanced surgical suites and a catheterization lab
- The hospital also features a 30,000-square-foot emergency department with pediatric-friendly beds, imaging services, a full-service cafeteria, chapel, gift shop and on-site fire station
- The hospital opened in December 2017, replacing the 50-bed hospital that AdventHealth had operated in downtown Apopka for more than four decades
Schedule: Full-Time 3/12 hour shifts a week rotating every other weekend and Holidays required.
Shift: Days 6:45 am - 7:15 pm
Primary Job Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
Minimum Qualifications: - Associate of Science degree in Nursing (ASN)
- Current State of Florida or Multistate licensure as a Registered Nurse
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Minimum of six (6) months previous Registered Nurse experience
- Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written skills)
- Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
- Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes
Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN)
- One (1) or more years of Registered Nurse experience in an acute care hospital setting in a Progressive Care Unit
- Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
