Responsibilities

Full Job Description
Position: Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Laradon fosters a collaborative, team environment; working on-site in Denver, CO and/or traveling to clients' homes.

Supervision: Reports to Director of Adult Services

Schedule: Monday-Friday, most likely 7a-3p

Starting Salary Range: $70,000-$93,000 based off education and experience

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to support our Adult Services. Reporting to the Director of Adult Services, this role will support Laradon's mission by working collaboratively with staff, guardians and providers to coordinate and oversee the specialized needs of the individuals served in Laradon's Adult Day Program to ensure efficient and prompt health care services are provided.

No day is ever alike but you can generally look forward to the following responsibilities:
  • Act as liaison with cooperating medical facilities, hospitals, psychiatrists, physicians, families and other external entities in regard to the medical needs of those served.
  • As Laradon is a small employer and employees work in a collaborative, team environment, employee must be physically present in the office to perform his/her job functions.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Provide trainings for employees on health and medical related issues.
  • Ensure effective communication between each department, family/guardians, individuals served, and physicians where required
  • Develop, implement and train staff on medical protocols, health care plans, and review and revise as needed.
  • Review Medication Administration Records (MARs) for adults served and physician orders and update as needed.
  • Oversee the administration of medications, as needed.
  • Monitor medical documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and Laradon policies and procedures.
  • Monitor medication and health issues of participants served in Laradon's Adult Day Program, and consult with directors, program managers, staff/DSP's regarding specific needs of the adults as well as general medical issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.
