Registered Nurse (RN)- Labor & Delivery, Tridant Solutions Inc. is currently looking for a Registered Nurse- Labor/Delivery to service in Torrance, California area. JOB DESCRIPTION The Labor & Delivery nurse supports the family-centered maternity care model and provides direct nursing care in accordance with all family members advised of the progress of delivery assisting the doctor during the birth of the child and educating new parents on the care of their infant and upholding the philosophy of maternity services. Cares for high-risk antepartum patients with multiple high-risk diagnoses in an outpatient setting, assessing through fetal diagnostic testing for fetal well-being. In the event of any emergency situations, you will be called to provide your L&D registered nurse knowledge and expertise in the management of life-threatening complications. DUTIES
The Labor & Delivery Nurse utilizes the nursing processes based on research and evidence-based outcomes to meet patient care needs.
Participates in maintaining a safe patient care environment.
Demonstrates leadership skills by directing personnel and establishing collegial relationships with others.
Provides quality nursing care to all patients in accordance with the California Nurse Practice Act, and professional regulatory standards.
Projects an image of professionalism in communication, appearance, and conduct.
Supports the mission of the Patient Care Services Division.
Participates in the continuous quality improvement process. Maintains a working knowledge of departmental and hospital standards, policies, and procedures.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) certification
A valid nursing certificate, BSN, or MSN degree from an accredited college or university.
A valid unencumbered RN license for the State
Current vaccinations and health clearance certification.
Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques.
BLS certification.
NPR certification through the American Academy of Pediatrics
Must have previous experience with starting IVs.
Must have at least 12 months of recent and relevant consecutive Nursing experience and 12 months of acute care experience in this specialty (Labor & Delivery).
High-level interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with patients during stressful experiences.
Strong organizational abilities and good communication skills
The appropriate license to work in their state/county.
Fluent in English.

COMPENSATION
108,000-144,000 USD Annually
