As a Registered Nurse within our Critical Care & Specialty Care Nursing Pipeline, you will have the opportunity to be considered for a variety of highly specialized inpatient and procedural nursing teams, including:
- Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
- Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit (STICU)
- Surgical Intermediate Care Unit (SIMU)
- Thoracic Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (TCVICU)
- Nerancy Neuro Intensive Care Unit (NNICU)
- Neuro Intermediate Care Unit (NIMU)
- Medical Emergency Team (MET) / Rapid Response
- Vascular Access Team (VAT) / IV Team
In these settings, nurses provide expert, evidence-based care while working alongside physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, rehabilitation specialists, and other clinical experts.
An average day may include:
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans.
- Monitoring complex patient conditions and responding to changes in clinical status.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care across the continuum.
- Utilizing advanced technology and clinical resources to support high-quality outcomes.
- Educating patients and families while serving as a trusted advocate throughout the care journey.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives, professional development activities, and shared decision-making processes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.
Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
The pay range for this role is $39.90 - $53.00 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
