Qualifications

• Active RN license required with a passion for elder care
• Current CPR certification mandatory
• Ability to operate medical equipment and calculate dosages
• Effective communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues
• Basic computer knowledge and quick learning aptitude
• Skilled nursing experience is preferred but not required, as training is available
• Complies with all health requirements and standards of care

Responsibilities

• Assess nursing needs and implement care plans for residents
• Evaluate effectiveness of care and adjust plans accordingly
• Ensure a safe environment for residents and staff
• Supervise care activities performed by nursing assistants
• Adhere to all policies and procedures of North Shore
• Maintain compliance with the State Nurse Practice Act and applicable JCAHO standards
• Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and community members
