This position is for a full-time night shift in the Emergency Department at MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital.

Unit Highlights

Welcome to MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital. The Emergency Department (ED) consist of 34 beds, 25 main ED beds and 9 Flex Care Beds. MedStar Good Samaritan ED see's approximately 48,000 patients annually and serves as a primary stroke center. Gain great experience caring for patients of all ages, and various medical complaints. The emergency department takes pride in their teamwork, responsiveness, and flexibility to meet the needs of the community. Take advantage of the many education opportunities MedStar has to offer their nurses. 1-year acute care experience preferred; new graduate nurse considered. Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program and be licensed in the state of Maryland or compact state

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs-from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team
