Join the Emergency Department team at Stephens Hospital as a full-time, 36-hour night shift Registered Nurse and become part of a highly collaborative team dedicated to delivering exceptional care when patients need it most.

The Stephens Hospital Emergency Department provides care to patients of all ages with a wide variety of medical, surgical, orthopedic, behavioral health, and traumatic conditions. As an Emergency Department RN, you'll work alongside experienced physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and support staff in a fast-paced environment where teamwork, communication, and critical thinking are essential. No two shifts are ever the same, offering endless opportunities to expand your clinical knowledge and grow your emergency nursing expertise.

Night shift is an opportunity to practice at the top of your license while caring for patients during some of their most critical moments. This is a PER DIEM Registered Nurse II vacancy open to candidates with 0 to 1 year of RN work experience

Summary:
The MH Registered Nurse - Acute Care role provides high quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. Collaborates, delegates, and communicates with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.
MH RN II: This level is competent in their clinical role and has demonstrated the ability to care for most patients assigned. Though not able to care for every patient type within their area of hire, demonstrates how to obtain the appropriate resources to develop required skills and knowledge over time. This level includes automatic advancement after 1 year as a RN I - must be in good standing and meets RN I requirements.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  2. Licensure/Certification: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Other certifications may be required specific to area of practice or in accordance with Department guidelines.
  3. Experience: One year of recent RN experience required. Automatic advancement from RN I level if all onboarding requirements are complete, including the New Grad Residency (where available).

The pay range for this position is $37.09 to $50.17 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
