Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Where You Will Work:

Atrium Health Kannapolis, a facility of Atrium Health Cabarrus, delivers comprehensive 24-hour emergency medical services to Kannapolis and surrounding communities, providing high-quality care for patients of all ages-from minor injuries such as fractures and lacerations to life-threatening conditions including heart attacks and strokes. The department is staffed by board-certified emergency medicine physicians and supported by on-site respiratory therapists with an expanded scope of practice to ensure advanced clinical support. The unit features 12 monitored beds and 5 vertical care spaces designed to optimize patient flow and efficiency, along with fully integrated on-site radiology and laboratory services. As part of the broader Atrium Health system, the facility is backed by the expertise and resources of Carolinas Medical Center, the region's only Level I Trauma Center, ensuring seamless access to the highest level of specialized care when needed.

We're Looking For:
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new graduates
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS required within 6 months of hire
  • 1 year of Critical Care (ED, ICU) experience preferred

  • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
