Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Where You Will Work:

Atrium Health Mercy, a 196-bed facility of Carolinas Medical Center, is one of two Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) locations and is located just 1.3 miles from the main campus. As a Planetree Certified facility, Atrium Health Mercy is committed to delivering patient-centered care by connecting values, strategies, and actions; implementing practices that promote partnership between patients and care teams; utilizing evidence to drive continuous improvement; and fostering organizational structures that support engagement at all levels.

We're Looking For:
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new graduates
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS required within 6 months of hire
  • 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred


What You'll Do:
  • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

For more than 100 years, Atrium Health Mercy has treated approximately 80-110 ED patients and 130-212 in-patients daily with a special combination of human compassion and leading-edge expertise.
