JOB SUMMARYThis position is responsible for assessing patient/family health problems and taking a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan of nursing care provided by the nursing team. This position is responsible for setup, monitoring and documentation of non-invasive cardiology diagnostic tests and procedures while providing comprehensive patient care during all phases of testing. This position provides patient education on disease processes, cardiac risk factors, and behavior modification. This position is able to respond quickly and accurately to as well as provide response treatments to changes in the patient's condition. This position involves participation in an on-call weekend and holiday rotation
This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including neonate through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
JOB QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Training/Experience:REQUIRED:
- Graduate of an RN School of Nursing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- ACLS Certified
- Rhythm Interpretation course or equivalent
PREFERRED:
- Previous diagnostic cardiology procedure experience.
- BSN
- 1 year Critical Care Experience
License/Certifications/Special Requirements:- Possesses current State RN license.
