JOB SUMMARYThis position is responsible for assessing patient/family/significant other health problems and resources, taking a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care provided by the nursing team to the hospice patient. The position provides technical nursing care and interventions to designated patient populations. This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including neonate through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals, and direction of the Performance Improvement / Patient Safety Plan at Blessing Hospital.
JOB QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Training/Experience:REQUIRED:
- Graduate of an RN School of Nursing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED:
License/Certifications/Special Requirements:- Possesses current State RN license.
Preferred:
- Certification in nursing management and/or clinical specialty, CHPN.
- Currently certified in American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for Health Care provider (CPR).
- Current Driver's license Current Car Insurance.
- Must maintain a MVR rating of no less than 6 points in order to operate any vehicle owned by Blessing Corporate Services.
