Full Job Description
As an RN on the BHU, you'll work alongside an interdisciplinary team to:
Assess and monitor patients with complex behavioral and medical needs
Administer medications and treatments safely and effectively
Develop individualized care plans that promote dignity, quality of life, and optimal outcomes
Support patients and families through education, advocacy, and compassionate communication
What You'll Do
Deliver safe, compassionate, age-appropriate nursing care to patients and their families
Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
Administer medications and treatments according to established standards
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge needs
Evaluate patient outcomes and identify opportunities to improve care delivery
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Requirements:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
Minimum of one (1) year of RN experience
Current Maryland RN license or eligibility through a compact state license
BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Experience with Cerner or similar electronic medical record systems preferred
Pay Range: $37.15 to $57.58 Based On Experience
