The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Job Overview:The Nursing Supervisor represents hospital administration and, as such, serves as the delegated agent of the hospital administrative team invested with the authority of the same on the assigned shift. Responsible for coordinating, evaluating quality and clinical practice activities throughout the medical center in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act, JCAHO and NJDOH licensing standards.
Qualifications:Required:
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or currently matriculating
- A minimum of three (3) years of acute care nursing experience
- Prior nursing supervisory or management experience
- Nursing experience with progressive management experience
- Successful completion of all Orientation Programs
Preferred:
Certifications and Licenses Required:- Current Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association upon hire
- ACLS from the American Heart Association
- Additional certifications may be required as per the Administrative Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification Policy
Scheduling Requirements:- Full-Time
- 24 hours weekly
- Must be willing to work every weekends only
Essential Functions:- Responsible for coordinating and evaluating management and clinical practice activities throughout the Medical Center during the off-shifts, including weekends and holidays.
