Full Job Description
Responsibilities*
  • Provide nursing care to the adult and adolescent orthopedic population
  • Tele-health medicine to include, but are not limited to, triage calls from patients, families, clinicians, and other healthcare team members.
  • Pre-operative teaching, counseling, and coordinating care for orthopedic surgical procedures.
  • Post-operative telephone consultations.
  • Assist with a variety of procedures and tasks, clinical, administrative, or otherwise, to maintain patient flow in clinic and support assistive staff as needed including but not limited to wound and cast assessment.
  • Candidate must be able to perform duties independently, be highly motivated and flexible in order to address the needs of patients, families and members of the health care team.
  • To provide clinical support for the South Main Ortho Clinic, as well as to the wider CMC group of privileged providers throughout UMH, regardless of location of service or specialty.

Required Qualifications*
  • Current license to practice nursing in the State of Michigan (RN).
  • Three (3) years (within the last five (5) years) of Adult orthopedic surgical RN experience.

Salary & Nursing Framework Level:

This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C.

Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.

Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.
