Overview

The Regional Water Resources Leader is responsible for developing, growing, and leading the Texas Water Resources practice. This senior-level role combines technical expertise in water resources engineering with practice-building, team leadership, and client development. The leader will represent the firm to clients, partners, and industry organizations while ensuring excellence in project delivery and strategic growth. This is a full-time position paid on a salary basis.

 

Responsibilities
  • Develop, grow, and lead the Regional Water Resources practice, building expertise in conveyance, storage, groundwater, water/wastewater treatment and general hydraulics best practices.
  • Partner with Parkhill’s Marketing and Business Development teams to create and execute a regional business development plan aligned with the Civil Engineering Division strategy.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, partners, and industry leaders.
  • Represent the firm as a technical expert in client meetings, interviews, and industry forums.
  • Collaborate across office locations to leverage Parkhill’s collective water resources expertise.
  • Mentor staff, ensuring consistent application of Parkhill’s keystone habits and technical excellence.
  • Serve as Senior Project Manager or Project Principal on major water resources projects, providing technical oversight.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited university.
  • Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE) in Texas.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Water Resources and/or water/wastewater treatment.
  • Detailed understanding of engineering project management methos with the ability to plan a project from start to finish, considering time, cost, and resources.
  • Experience working with state, regional, and/pr public agencies – municipalities, water districts, river authorities, counties, and/or state agencies.
  • Expert level knowledge of environmental regulations and workplace safety regulations.
  • Proven success in practice growth, client development, and business acquisition.
  • Strong technical expertise in hydrology, hydraulics, drainage, water/wastewater, and related civil engineering solutions.
  • Excellent analytical skills to evaluate their observations to design a system that will withstand the elements on the installation site
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.
