Full Job Description
The Regional Vice President is accountable for organizing and directing the sale of Teknion's products in Ottawa/Kingston and the four Atlantic provinces. This position is responsible for increasing regional sales and market share to dealers and clients, strategically increasing visibility to the Architecture/Design Community, developing a best in class sales team, as well as supervising the selection and development of dealers or other distribution facilities.

What is this role responsible for?

  • Accountable for all sales activities with the goal of achieving regional sales and profitability objectives, sales forecasting, and business development initiatives.
  • Coaching and supporting the professional development of a team of sales professionals
  • This position is responsible for establishing, monitoring and achieving product category goals and activity targets within each region in support of Teknion's business plan.
  • The position is responsible for managing lead generation and business development initiatives.
  • Responsible for determining, securing, and maintaining new network contacts through appropriate associations, and increasing Teknion's visibility and presence in the Office Furniture industry.
  • This position is accountable for maintaining and enhancing business relationships with existing and new potential Dealers, increasing our market share within the dealerships and partnering to build a strong strategy to secure key accounts.
  • Responsible for providing Teknion Head Office with critical sales information and administrative reports in a timely manner, as well as keeping Head Office abreast of market conditions and trends.
  • Co-ordinating and managing office and showroom administration with regional staff, approve S.Q.'s, as well as establish regional budgets and approve marketing and administrative expenses.
  • Working closely with Canadian Marketing to build strong client and designer presentations.
  • Improving the presentation and selling skills of District Managers by coaching, motivating, and training them.
  • Ensuring that peak performance is achieved by providing required resources, and effectively utilizing the skills set and strengths of the regional sales force.
  • Coaching our Market Managers to develop close supportive relationships with influential design firms.
  • Manage the regional sales funnel through Salesforce and take the appropriate actions to maximize our win ratio.
  • Participating in the recruitment, selection and training of sales representatives and sales office personnel within assigned region.
  • Championing our sales strategy to maximize Federal Government sales throughout Canada, and marshaling the resources necessary to ensure we are the go-to solution for Federal Government contract furniture procurement


What qualifications and skills are necessary for this role?

  • University Degree or College Diploma in business or in a related field with a specialization in sales or marketing
  • Experience as a sales or marketing representative or in a related occupation
