Job Description

We are seeking a Regional Vice President responsible for management of an assigned territory and or designated accounts, ensuring that goals and objectives of the TPA are exceeded or achieved through effective claims management, expense management and customer service that favorably impacts the TPA's bottom line results. This position is fully accountable for the administration of all claims assigned to their territory or designated accounts.

This is a hybrid role reporting to the Harrisburg, PA office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The Regional Vice President must clearly articulate a vision that others find compelling and motivating, in order to achieve desired results.
  • Duties can include sales calls and presentations to attract and retain TPA services to healthcare providers, self-insured pools, brokers, consultants, and insurance companies.
  • Responsible to negotiate certain contract renewals and preparation and completion of contracts, and coordination and completion for clients of self- insured renewal applications through coordination with state agencies.
  • Develop, direct and coach assigned staff, to include establishing performance objectives and clear success criteria, as well as monitoring performance outcomes and addressing issues appropriately.
  • Lead by example in communicating with staff. Encourage open dialogue in staff meetings and 1:1 discussions.
  • Identifies the key tasks and resources needed to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Identifies and understands current developments and trends within the insurance industry and formulates and directs actions against trends, in order to meet operational objectives.
  • Communicates and develops relationships with our clients. Proactive in promoting and delivering quality multi-line claims services.
  • Drives results by supporting corporate initiatives and engaging employees and inspiring their adoption.
  • Communicates any needed business changes to include what is changing, why the need, anticipated benefits; emphasizes the impact of change on performance expectations and individual, team, and organizational results.
  • Represents the company at industry conventions, meetings, conferences and exhibitions

  • Manages external relations with attorneys, agents, vendors, and regulatory agencies to cultivate a favorable image for Inservco and Penn National Insurance.
  • Proactively addresses and resolves various types of issues while maintaining and nurturing positive internal and external company relationships.
  • Manages TPA claims service operations to exceed or achieve division goals and objectives.
  • Fully accountable for claims dispositions and processes with recognition of applicable client authority, making certain that appropriate reserves are maintained for open claims and that claims quality and customer expectations are exceeded.
  • Performs marketing activities to support unit and company financial objectives.
  • Ensure staff performs claim handling tasks and responsibilities in accordance with client contracts, general tort statutes/case law and company guidelines in designated jurisdiction.
  • Leads, evaluates, and quantifies staffing levels and performance expectations needed to maximize business results and exceed customer expectations.
  • Responsible for hiring and training assigned staff.
  • Establishes performance standards for quality, service, and budget and analyzes actual performance versus objective to effectively manage teams and impact the TPA's bottom line.
  • Provides leadership to others in claims by virtue of mentoring to show demonstrated success in claim file quality performance over time through constructive feedback on file reviews in order to maximize business results while exceeding customer expectations and building collaboration within Inservco.

SPECIAL RELATIONSHIPS
  • Incumbent may have some board facing interaction with Inservco Board members
  • Team Leaders, Claims Technical Specialists, Senior Claims Representatives and other professional claims staff and selected administrative personnel report to the Regional Vice President
  • Incumbent has direct contact with all levels of personnel within Inservco Insurance Services
  • Incumbent has direct contact with external customers, vendors, medical providers, brokers, consultants and attorneys


QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Credentials
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Successful completion of prescribed training program, or equivalent, preferred
  • IAA Certificate in General Insurance, Associate in Claims Program and Supervisor Management courses desirable

Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of claims management experience in the insurance/TPA industry required; including a proven management record, with demonstration of required competencies in all aspects of TPA claims insurance coverages and claims management
  • Prior supervisory experience

Technical/Professional Knowledge
  • Exceptional knowledge of all TPA claims insurance coverages, claims standards and guidelines, to include worker's compensation, general liability, auto liability, property, public officials, police professionals and others
  • Excellent research, analytical and decision-making skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to include the ability to effectively communicate information that may be highly technical in nature
  • Proven sales, negotiation and solution-selling skills
  • Working knowledge and skill in company automation systems, to include fundamental knowledge on the use of personal computers
  • Good financial analysis skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Good PC skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft Office Suite


The compensation has been carefully determined by considering a variety of important factors, including skill sets, experience. training, and certifications. With these considerations in mind, the estimated hiring range is $153,000 - $213,000. Additionally, you may be eligible to participate in our annual incentive program, depending on your eligibility under the plan.
