Regional Vice President, Group Sales - Eastern & Atlantic Canada

Location: Hybrid, Montreal

What you'll be working on

  • Build Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate and strengthen relationships with keydistribution partners andworking collaboratively to uncover new revenue opportunities
  • Shape Regional Business Strategy: Lead the annual planning process, drawing on your expertise in groupinsurance to create a clear roadmap that drives regional success.
  • Inspire High Performance: Work closely with the Vice President to set ambitious sales targets, monitor activities, and ensure exceptional results in profitability and retention.
  • Develop Talent and Empower Growth: Recruit, develop, and mentor top performers while fostering collaboration through territory planning sessions that set your team up for success.
  • Drive Market Innovation: Gather insights from the field and client feedback, translating this into actionable recommendations to influence marketing strategies and product development alongside Senior Management.
  • Represent the Brand with Authority: Be the face of Empire Life at industry events, ensuring a strong presence while upholding compliance and managing risk with precision.

What we're looking for you to have

  • 10+ years of face-to-face sales experience, including 5+ years in the group insurance industry.
  • 5+ years of proven success in sales management, leadership, and team coaching.
  • A well-established network in the group insurance industryStrong expertise in strategic account management and partnership building.
  • Deep knowledge of insurance products, market trends, insurance distribution channels.
  • Comprehensive understanding of regulatory and compliance standards in the financial services space.
  • Licenses and designations such as PQAP, GBA or CEBS designation is an asset
  • A degree in business or equivalent industry experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through change and effectively develop high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional skills in communication, relationship building, and delivering impactful presentations.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management abilities.
  • Expertise in business planning, strategy, and execution.
  • Proficiency in digital tools, including CRM software, AI, word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
  • Bilingualism (English & French) is required
  • English is required for communicating with English speaking customers, advisors, or employees across Canada.
