Regional Transportation Manager

Franklin, TN

Regional transportation manages both inbound and outbound freight spend, capacity and carrier performance. Attainable through effectively managing carrier network and working with internal and external partners regarding capacity management.

Serving as the key liaison between our carriers and our distribution/commercial as well as customer supply chain organization.

What are we looking for?

Minimum
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field AND/OR
  • 5+ years' experience in Logistics or Supply Chain Management can be substituted for education
  • 2+ years' experience negotiating with internal and external partners
  • Strong knowledge of SAP, JDA WMS ,ISO, Quality Management Systems, Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety
  • Ability to lead multiple teams across multiple sites
  • Strong computer skills (Excel (PIVOT Tables), Word, PowerPoint, Nexus)
  • Ability to transfer procedures and training experiences to others


Preferred
  • 3+ years managing people
  • 3+ years prior experience working in logistics/transportation field
  • Ability to leverage Power BI Dashboards and translate into actionable insights

    • Period capacity calibration across all sites both inbound and outbound finished goods as well as raws and packs
    • Cross functional partner with supply planning and commercial on transportation needs and changes within the business

    • Routing guide compliance
    • Assessorial management
    • Mitigating risk to customer fines and fees
    • Optimal sourcing
    • Payload optimization
