Regional Therapy Consultant

Full-Time | On-Site | Multi-Site Travel Required

Territory: Sacramento, Santa Rosa, Belmont, and Hayward, California

The Regional Therapy Consultant serves as a strategic partner to Directors of Rehabilitation (DORs), therapy teams, and facility leadership. You will oversee therapy operations across multiple locations, helping drive clinical excellence, operational efficiency, staff development, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to Directors of Rehabilitation and interdisciplinary therapy teams.
  • Support therapy operations across multiple skilled nursing facilities to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
  • Drive operational performance by improving productivity, staffing efficiency, clinical programming, and census growth.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop action plans to improve financial and clinical outcomes.
  • Conduct routine facility visits, operational audits, mock surveys, and quality assurance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with Medicare regulations, PDPM, Part B billing, documentation standards, and state and federal requirements.
  • Assist with recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, retention, and succession planning for therapy leadership and staff.
  • Collaborate closely with Chief Therapy Officer, Regional Therapy Consultant, Administrators, and interdisciplinary teams to address operational challenges and support facility initiatives.
  • Provide guidance during regulatory surveys and assist facilities with corrective action plans as needed.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, clinical excellence, and continuous improvement throughout the region.


Qualifications:
  • Active California license as a Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) experience in a skilled nursing setting.
  • At least 2 years of regional, multi-site, or healthcare leadership experience.
  • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience required.
  • Experience supporting multiple facilities strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Medicare Part A, PDPM, Medicare Part B, regulatory compliance, documentation standards, and rehabilitation operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, improve operational performance, and develop clinical leaders.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned Northern California territory.
