$96,200.00-$132,200.00 Annual This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire.   Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.  We set the bar high for our products—and even higher for our people. We’re looking for an experienced Regional Technical Manager to lead and elevate our field technical organization while serving as a trusted technical partner to contractors and sales leadership across a defined geographic region. This role is ideal for a roofing professional who combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership, customer focus, and business acumen—and who enjoys working in the field where decisions directly impact quality, customer trust, and profitability. This position can be based out of the following states: Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, and Ohio. What You’ll Do As a Regional Technical Manager, you will play a critical role in delivering technical excellence, developing talent, and driving high‑quality roofing outcomes in the market. Lead & Develop Technical Talent • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of field technical professionals • Own onboarding and ongoing training for technical representatives, including product application and standard operating procedures • Conduct regular performance discussions, support career development, and manage hiring and performance actions as needed Drive Quality & Contractor Success • Partner with the District Sales Manager to identify and develop a selective contractor base aligned to regional business plans • Provide proactive technical services that improve installation quality and workmanship • Support and deliver on commitments tied to the Peak Advantage Contractor Program Problem Solve in the Field • Respond proactively to installation and product issues, working directly with contractors to resolve concerns • Manage the product complaint process for the region, responding within one business day • Exercise repair authorization authority up to $10,000 in alignment with policy and risk guidelines Collaborate & Influence • Serve as a technical leader who interfaces effectively with contractors, sales teams, and internal partners • Balance independent decision‑making with strong cross‑functional collaboration What You Bring Experience & Education • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or comparable years of experience in lieu. • With Minimum of: • 5 years of customer‑facing technical experience in low‑slope commercial roofing or • 3 years of people leadership/supervisory experience Technical & Business Expertise • Strong to expert knowledge of roofing systems, practices, and application • Solid understanding of legal and risk considerations related to roofing and construction • Proven negotiation, problem‑solving, and conflict‑resolution skills Leadership & Communication • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop salaried technical staff • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills • Ability to influence at all levels—internally and externally Other Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook • Ability to travel up to 50% and work primarily in field environments • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive for extended periods • Comfortable working outside of a traditional office setting Why This Role Matters This role directly impacts product quality, contractor confidence, customer satisfaction, and long‑term business performance.
