Working under the guidance of the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, the Regional Sales Manager will lead the profitable growth of Wakefield's Thermal management products and services for the Eastern region of the United States and Canada. This role requires a technically savvy sales professional within the thermal management space that has a proven a track record of success and is capable of driving Wakefield Thermal's ambitious growth plans.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain and nurture Wakefield Thermal's existing thermal customer base within the assigned territory.
Identify, target and establish new customers for standard and custom thermal products across a myriad of industries with a goal of converting opportunities into new business.
Follow-up on leads from web inquiries and distribution sales to qualify potential opportunities.
Perform on-site presentations and demonstrations at prospective customer sites.
Actively promote Wakefield's thermal engineering services to customers and educate them on the benefits of involving Wakefield at the inception of their design process.
Demonstrate Wakefield Thermal's value proposition to prospective customers.
Manage the goals, work, and priorities of external contract sales representative organizations within the Eastern region.
Partner with Wakefield Thermal's Distribution Manager and the distribution partners within the territory to support their opportunities.
Assist in the establishment of and utilize KPI's for sales and opportunities within the territory. Additionally, ensure that these KPI'S align with Wakefield's annual strategic plan.
Plan, forecast, and report on regional business performance.
Participate in the annual sales and budget planning process.
Be an active member of the sales and marketing group at Wakefield and act and work as a trusted, valued and motivated business partner.
Utilize the CRM system (salesforce) to manage client calls and relationships as well as track leads, opportunities, conversions, and bookings
REQUIREMENTS:
B.S Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline required.
10 years of progressive sales management experience, 5 of those years must be within relative or similar industry (thermal solutions, engineering services, custom machined products).
Excellent MS office capabilities required - proficiency in CRM enterprise systems - experience with sales force is preferred.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and presentation skills.
High energy, positive, go-getter with a winning attitude and a desire for success.
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
Regional travel up to 75%.
