Regional Sales Manager- Western US Region

Western Region (ND,SD,NE,KS,OK,MN,IA, MO,AR,WI & IL)

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL BE DOING:

Taylor Entrance Systems is a division of Wausau Supply Company (WSC) which manufactures high quality steel and fiberglass doors. These products are available to our customers throughout the U.S. via our Pre-hang and One Step Partners. The Taylor Regional Sales Manager serves as the manufacturer's representative between Taylor Entrance System our customers and our independent representatives. This position will assist in the evaluation of the existing territory and perspective new clientele and development of a plan with our independent representatives as well as grow our overall user base in the geographical area to be determined. This teamwork leads to successful conversions, which is the goal in broadening our customer base.

Duties include (not limited to)

§ Direct our independent rep network, establishing annual goals and working with them to achieve the expected results. You will be responsible for annual reviews and dismissing or hiring as deemed necessary.
• Analyze open leads, opportunities and sales results to develop the best plan of action along with or without the independent representative.
• Create pull through business by calling on the current and prospective customers in concert with their outside salespeople.
• Develop a customer base of fully committed Taylor customers as well as niche customers which may only utilize a portion of our program.
• Present and educate to an audience of customers, contractors, architects and buying influencers.
• Follow Pre-approval procedure for Co-op for Taylor customers where needed.
• Provide presentations and training encompassing product knowledge and pricing.
• Attend customer functions such as annual buying shows.
• Assist the warranty department as requested.

§ Proficient in Taylor product knowledge and also internal processes and procedures.

§ Making his or her own travel arrangements

A Taylor Regional Sales Manager will possess and/or demonstrate the ability to:
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Take direction from the Director of Sales for Taylor.
• Fill out Expense Reports monthly using the Certify program
• Display professional behavior to all internal and external contacts in conjunction with policies and procedures as outline in the employee handbook

Education / Skills:
• College degree desired but not required.
• Mathematical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Proficient in public speaking and presentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Experience/Knowledge of exterior doors with an emphasis on Commercial, Hospitality, Multi-family
• Technology oriented with ability to operate laptop, smart phones etc.

Working Demands / Physical Requirements:
• Travel - 50%
