OverviewThe Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in the assigned region. This role will staff and direct a sales team and provide leadership toward the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. In addition, they will establish sales plans and strategies to expand the customer base and contribute to the development of training programs for Account Executives.
Duties & Responsibilities- Conduct weekly on-on-one debriefs with all account executives to build more effective communication, to understand training and development needs and provide insight for improvement to sales activities
- Conduct 3-5 field rides per month with Account Executives to coach, develop and improve sales skills
- Develop and implement regional sales plans to expand the customer base and meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
- Analyze sales data, track trends, and prepare reports to identify areas for improvement, forecasting requirements, and identifying new market opportunities.
- Maintain and build key client relationships, handling high-level negotiations to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Manage regional budgets, control expenses, and optimize resource allocation to align with organizational goals.
- Monitor competitors, market trends, and industry developments to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Assist Account Executives in preparation of proposals and presentations
- Conduct weekly sales meetings and sales training meetings focused on skill development and improving performance
- Using Sales KPI's, ensure that all Account Executives meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments and proposals and debrief in detail with them weekly
- Develop and support Account Executives quarterly sales action plans and redirect activities to ensure performance
Candidate RequirementsEducation- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related field
Experience- 6+ years of sales leadership experience in a hunting capacity
- Proven history developing sales colleagues
- Experience analyzing financial reports in a complex, fast-paced environment
Skills & Competencies- Ability to travel as needed
- Ability to obtain and maintain licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and local regulations
- Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence
- Verbal and written communication skills
