We are looking for a proven and dynamic sales leader to be the Regional Sales Manager for our product line in the Southeast Region of the United States. This position is home-based and will travel extensively throughout the territory.
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) contributes to company success by developing leads, establishing productive customer relationships, building and maintaining sales agent relationships, and closing business to achieve targeted sales goals. Regional Sales Managers demonstrate an entrepreneurial and positive attitude combined with the appropriate technical and inter-personal skills. They are a motivated, self-starter, with a strong desire to achieve personal and professional growth. The RSM will have a Solutions Selling approach to customer projects and be comfortable working in a Team Selling environment in support of closing business.

- Develop, maintain and execute a Regional Account Plan.
- Develop, maintain and execute a Corporate and/or National Account Plan(s).
- Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals for OEM, dealers and reps.
- Maintain a prospect-customer CRM/data base.
- Promote & sell company equipment
- Work closely with customers to ensure the company is meeting all goals & objectives towards customer satisfaction
- Attend training sessions and company meetings as required
- Stay abreast of new technology, market developments, appropriate standards, and competitor offerings and keep current on trends from both market and technical standpoints.
- Work cross-functionally across the enterprise to identify key influencers, define gaps in products or services, and develop and implement the necessary tools to capitalize on opportunities
- Adaptable and open to change regarding customer solutions and internal company business plans
Does this sound like you?- Bachelor's degree in packaging or a technical field preferred, but not required.
- 5+ years' experience in Sales.
- Experience in the packaging industry preferred.
- Approaches difficult situations with confidence and tact.
- Is an accomplished and polished presenter to a variety of audiences.
- Has excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Able to produce compelling win-win presentations in a variety of media formats, including PowerPoint.
- Is professional, ethical, detail oriented, and persuasive.
- Demonstrated track record of building business and customer relationships.
- Extensive domestic travel will be required, 50-75%.
- Must work effectively with limited supervision.
- Must be accountable, deadline sensitive and results oriented.
