As a Distribution Regional Manager 6 North Central region for Husqvarna Construction, you manage and generate profitable sales within the relevant channels through the creation and execution of annual strategic sales plans and by maintaining and expanding regional customer base. This position is critical for ensuring our competitive advantage by driving regional sales growth.

The territory encompasses North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky. Residency within this territory is mandatory, with a strong preference for candidates based in Chicago, IL.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Management of Department (60%)
  • Structuring of sales territories within region based on existing and potential market

  • Coordinating business review of direct reports

  • Coordinating product training for region

  • Conducting performance appraisals and providing regular performance feedback and development opportunities to employees

  • Ensuring proper training and continual reinforcement on CFS and CRM

  • Recruiting, developing and retaining talent

  • Identifying needs of field employees and helping to find solutions

  • Maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers

  • Maintain at least quarterly ride-alongs with direct reports

Business Management (30%)
  • Responsible for maintaining and monitoring budget

  • Responsible for forecasting product categories within region

  • Responsible for presenting at quarterly regional business review

  • Conducting business review meetings with decision makers of identified major customers

  • Conducting competitive analysis of market conditions annually

  • Providing input for Marketing/Sales promotions

  • Create, communicate, and manage sales promotions and spiffs within region

  • Recommending the addition, deletion or improvement of products and services

Administrative (10%)
  • Maintain individual CRM and monitor direct reports CRM usage

  • Approving direct reports9 expense reporting in a timely fashion

  • Monitoring car stock of direct reports

  • Communicating with various internal departments as necessary

  • Monitoring department9 monthly expenses compared to budgets

  • Providing update and graded KPIs to manager and direct reports quarterly

  • Submitting personal travel expenses in a timely fashion

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • 4 years9 experience in Sales required

  • BS in Business Admin or other applicable degree preferred

  • Experience working in analytics-based sales organizations

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Overnight travel 60-75% of the time

  • Work entirely on the road or from home office

  • Heavy PC use

  • Daily, weekly, monthly and annual deadlines

The anticipated salary wage range for candidates who will work in Illinois or Minnesota is $125,000.00 -150,000.00. plus bonus opportunity. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, type and years of experience within the industry, education, etc. Husqvarna is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
